Share the Dignity ‘It’s in the Bag’ charity drive update
A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign this term. Our total collection this year exceeded even our wildest dreams, and the generosity of our Bellevue community was incredible. Here is a special message sent on behalf of Share the Dignity:
“Once again your school community has blown us away with their generosity and kind donations. So far your donations alone have made 42 adult bags, 14 teen bags, 4 mum & bub bags and helped to complete over 30 other donated bags that were missing some essentials. And there is still more donated products that will be used to create another 20 adult bags and top up any other bags missing soaps, toothpastes or toothbrushes.
What a wonderful contribution your community has made 😊 please pass on our gratitude and heartfelt thanks. You have all made a huge difference to so many women doing it tough this Christmas.
A large portion of your donations are going to Walk with Us at Burleigh https://www.walkwithusgc.org.au/ I thought it might be nice for you to know which charity your donations are ending up at. They will be given out as Christmas gifts.”
Thank you to everyone who donated to such a wonderful cause. We have definitely made Christmas a little brighter for dozens of local recipients this year.

Smart Watches
As per Queensland government legislation, students are not permitted to use phones or smart watches during the school day for communication. If students need to contact home, they can visit the office to make a call. Smart watches must not be worn during the school day; students will be asked to remove them and leave them at the office. If you're planning to buy a smart watch or phone for your child this Christmas, please ensure they are either kept at home on school days or stored in the office at the start of the day, to be picked up at 2:55pm.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Semester 2 Reports

Year 4 – 6 2025 eLearning iPad requirements
Families of Year 4 to 6 students will have received an email outlining iPad requirements for 2025.
At Bellevue Park State School, the Year 5 and Year 6 cohorts of students have operated as eLearning classrooms since 2013. Last year the program was extended to Year 4. This highly effective educational approach in the senior primary years continues to support high levels of student engagement and learning for our students. The digital rich learning environment of an eLearning classroom assists children to develop essential twenty-first century knowledge and skills. We therefore encourage you to commence planning for the provision of a personal iPad for your child as they prepare to enter Year 4, 5 or 6 in 2025.
Details to assist in purchasing equipment and the relevant apps to download have been provided within this correspondence.
Year 4 Bike Safety Excursion
During Week 9 our Year 4 students enjoyed an excursion down the road at the PCYC Bicycle Safety Centre. Students were introduced to common scenarios on the road, including obeying road signs and rules, while going through a step by step approach demonstrating the safest method to each. They had an enjoyable day and this learning will prepare them for safe riding on the road, particularly as we lead into school holidays.
