As they embark on new journeys, we extend our deepest gratitude for the invaluable contributions they've made during their time with us. Their dedication, expertise, and camaraderie have left an indelible mark on our collective journey. Share the Dignity ‘It’s in the Bag’ charity drive update
A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign this term. Our total collection this year exceeded even our wildest dreams, and the generosity of our Bellevue community was incredible. Together we were able to make and donate 91 completed bags – 10 mum, 15 teen & 66 adult bags! – plus a heap of additional items that will help complete further bags. This means that 91 local women in need will receive a generous gift this Christmas when they otherwise might get nothing.
A massive thank you to Ms Read and the Student Council who helped drum up support for the campaign. And a special thank you to everyone who donated items for our drive – you are all wonderful!
Belly Spirit Award Winners – Term 4
This week we acknowledged our final ‘Belly Spirit Award’ winners for the year with a delicious morning tea with the Principal and Deputy Principals. This term’s winners were nominated by their classroom teacher consistently exemplifying and following our 4 school values:
- I am Safe
- I am Considerate
- I am Respectful
- I am a Learner
We’d like to congratulate all our Term 4 winners and thank them for being such incredible role models for their peers.

BPSS Chaplain Update
We were disappointed to find out this week that our request for further ongoing funding to support the continuation of the Chaplain position at BPSS in 2024 was unsuccessful. This means that Chappy Em will finish at the end of this year and not be returning to us in 2024. We’d like to thank her for all she did during her time at Bellevue Park this year and wish her every success for the future. We are hoping to obtain funding in the future to re-introduce this role.
Deputy Principal Prep - Year 2
First Day for Preps 2024!
We are so excited to welcome all of our Preps for 2024. They had an amazing time coming into their big school for a small taster of school life. We really value the time and energy that goes into this thorough process to ensure that our new Bellevue Bulldogs have the best possible start to Prep.
Day 1
- 40am all Prep students are to be dropped off to their classroom. Acting in a calm and positive way helps the students to settle quickly into their new environment.
- At the bell, parents are invited for tea and tissues in the hall!
Day 2
- 40am all Prep students to be dropped off at Prep Village (outside Prep A & Prep B) for a play before going into class. Supervised play starts at 8.30am. School starts at 8.50am.
- Parents are encouraged to say goodbye before the bell. Offering a play with their friends, after saying goodbye, is a great way for students to transition and any anxious energy gets put into playing!
A big thank you to our Parent Volunteers!
This year we have had more volunteers than ever, and we couldn’t be happier! Our volunteers have helped out in the Tuckshop, cooked sausages on the BBQ, helped out at P&C events, covered a mountain of books in the library, supported students with reading and got up to their elbows in glitter making Christmas craft!
If you are interested in volunteering next year, please look out for our volunteer sessions at the start of the year. It is a requirement that all volunteers complete a short child safety session before supporting our students. Once completed, this will not have to be repeated until the following year.
Thanks again, your support has helped students with their reading, provided them with resources and enabled loads of fun community events to happen. We truly appreciate all that you have done for us.
Containers for Change Class Winners!
Prep C were the lucky recipients of the class pizza party for their efforts with our Containers for Change initiative. Thank you so much to our amazing P&C for supplying the yummy pizza and organising this great fundraiser all year. This year our community has raised approximately $3,000. A special mention to both Lennox and Amali Chong for being our top individual contributors!
Part Time with Mrs Birch!
I was lucky enough to get to have a very special morning tea with 17 amazing students who chose this as their rewards for earning 100 Dojo points. We ate party pies, made some Christmas craft and then played musical chairs. Such a lovely way to spend my morning!
Deputy Principal Year 3 - 6

And while the transition to high school may seem scary right now, we know these fine students will feel at home in their new school in no time at all. We encourage all our graduates to follow their passions, to embrace every opportunity, to be open to all new experiences and to continue to Be Safe, Be Considerate, Be Respectful and Be A Learner, just as they have here at Bellevue Park.

PBL Semester 2 Celebration
All students across Prep to Year 6 attended a special show to celebrate the semester: The Comedy Circus Stunt Show. ‘Stunt Man Joel’ entertained the students with various tricks from juggling on a ladder to the most popular of all - a human inside a balloon!
What a fabulous way to celebrate the end of Semester 2!
Semester 2 Reports
These have now been completed and are scheduled to be emailed home this Thursday. Parents, please check your junk email box as well as your inbox in case this accidentally lands in there. If you do not receive your student(s) reports, please contact our school office to advise.
